Twenty Years of Grace, Growth & Good Times

New Orleans 1992: A Time For Joy

T-shirt Quote

The Gathering logo was a stylized cross formed by the placement of four "fleur de lis." A cross reminds us that the focus of all our faith and life is in Christ and was featured prominently in each of the previous Gathering logos. The '92 logo is no exception.

The use of the "fleur de lis" is particularly appropriate for New Orleans. It is a French symbol for the Holy Trinity and also recalls the unique cultural history of the city. It also serves as the logo for the city of New Orleans. The outline of the logo recalls the fine iron work that decorates many New Orleans buildings and homes. The Gathering also made use of New Orleans' "official" colors of purple, green and gold. It is said that purple stands for power, green for justice, and gold for faith.
