The logo for the 1986 Gathering highlighted the theme, "On Wings Like Eagles." The eagle flies in the shadow of the cross through which people are empowered and enabled to be God's own. The eagle's wing is open, suggesting the process of maturing personally, spiritually, emotionally and physically. The circle continues as an element found in the symbols of the previous two Gatherings.
